The story
Why we opened in 2026.
HWBMON LIMITED is new on paper and old in habit. Before we registered the company in 2026, the people behind it spent years buying lighting for other houses — walking spinning shops in Zhongshan, glass benches in Qingdao, ceramic kilns in Chaozhou — and watching good fixtures get spoiled by careless wholesale: wrong lamps, brittle cords, cartons packed like an afterthought.
So we set up our own floor in Kwun Tong and wrote one rule on the wall: nothing ships that we wouldn't hang in our own homes. The catalog grew from there — brass that's actually brass, glass blown by hand, ceramics with kiln character — every line chosen because an American shelf needs it and a margin can survive it.
The standard
Materials first, always.
We sort the catalog the way the bench does: by what a thing is made of. Spun brass you can ring with a fingernail. Triple-layer opal glass with no lamp hotspot. Travertine cut from the block, not cast from dust. Where a budget piece belongs in the line, it's honestly budget — steel, powder coat, a fair price — never a costume.
Every batch lands on the Kwun Tong bench before it ships: wired, burned in, torqued, packed. The checklist rides in the carton so your receiving desk can see what we saw.
Logistics
Packed like it matters.
Lighting breaks in the last hundred feet, so we spend real money on foam, sleeves and twin-wall board. Glass ships sleeved and suspended; the Meridian chandelier travels in a fitted crate with each orb packed separately and numbered to its arm.
Mixed orders consolidate into one shipment with one tracking number. Ground delivery runs 5–8 business days across the lower 48 and is included on orders over $300.
